IBConsole main window will not appear
Problem: When you start IBConsole, the task-bar icon appears but the main window does not.
Solution:
- Make sure IBConsole is not running.
- From a Command prompt, type: REGEDIT
- Navigate to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER key (left tree view.)
- Open the key by clicking the '+' sign.
- Open the 'Software' key.
- Open the 'Borland' key.
- Open the 'InterBase' key.
- Open the 'IBConsole' key.
- Navigate to the 'Settings' key, right-click and select the 'Delete' option.
- Click YES when asked 'Are you sure?'
- Close REGEDIT and restart IBConsole.
IBConsole says "Cannot attach to password database"
Problem: When starting Keystone you see the Product Activation screen. When you try to open a database using IBConsole, you get an error message saying "Cannot attach to password database."
Solution: Set the correct Time Zone for Windows. Apparently having an incorrect time zone affects the InterBase licensing check.
