Basic Importing of XMLs

How it should work

In theory you the process should go like this...

  1. Get the Latest set of Payroll XML files and save them in a folder on the target computer. (Support Directory)
  2. Select Import/Export Configuration from Payroll Setup/Utilities menu
  3. Check All Items except for G/L accounts and G/L groups
  4. Navigate to the directory containing XMLs and hit Import


What Can and Will go Wrong

There are issues that arise during this process

  1. As of now (12/18/18) Keystone "empty" database includes prepopulated prtstcode data. It is recommended to delete this. (DELETE FROM PRTSTCODE)
  2. Unless this is new system, it is quite likely that other tables could be pre-populated. Do careful research to determine if these tables can be cleared as well.
