Basic Importing of XMLs
How it should work
In theory you the process should go like this...
- Get the Latest set of Payroll XML files and save them in a folder on the target computer. (Support Directory)
- Select Import/Export Configuration from Payroll Setup/Utilities menu
- Check All Items except for G/L accounts and G/L groups
- Navigate to the directory containing XMLs and hit Import
What Can and Will go Wrong
There are issues that arise during this process
- As of now (12/18/18) Keystone "empty" database includes prepopulated prtstcode data. It is recommended to delete this. (DELETE FROM PRTSTCODE)
- Unless this is new system, it is quite likely that other tables could be pre-populated. Do careful research to determine if these tables can be cleared as well.
