Device Aggregator Daily Auto-Restart
As of Keystone 2.6.8.3, a new configuration option ("Restart Time") has been added to the Device Aggregator. When enabled (off by default), this allows you to set a time (HHMM) when the Device Aggregator will completely close its connection to the Application Server, allowing the Application Server to shut down. The aggregator will close the connection for 5 seconds, then re-connect, which will cause the Application Server to restart.
It is good practice for the Application Server to shut down periodically. Keystone clients that forget to log off or get "hung" with an error consume connections within the Socket Server and the Application Server. These wasted resources cannot be cleaned up while the Application Server is running. Enabling this feature will allow the Application Server to shut down at least once per day.
A good rule of thumb for determining what value to use for Restart Time is to set it at least 1 hour after the last user is expected to log out of Keystone.
