It can be used with any version of Keystone.<br /> <br /> ==Operation==<br /> <br /> The Keystone Support Backup utility does the following:<br /> * Restores an empty master company database as a temporary database<br /> * Analyzes the desired tables and automatically adds missing dependent tables<br /> * Pumps the data from the customer's database to the temporary database in proper dependency order<br /> * Backs up the temporary database to a file of your choosing<br /> <br /> Backups made using this utility may be restored like a normal company backup from the Keystone System Maintenance menu. <br /> <br /> &lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;Be careful never to restore this backup on a customer system!&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;<br /> <br /> ==Download==<br /> <br /> Download link: [[:File:insupbak.zip|Keystone Support Backup]]<br /> <br /> ==Example==<br /> <br /> Suppose you want to make a backup of a customer's database, but you're only interested in A/R tables and you don't need the A/R history tables. When you run the utility, enter the following as shown below:<br /> <br /> * For Database Name browse to the company database file that you want to backup by clicking the ellipsis button<br /> * For Company Name enter a description to be stored in this backup<br /> * Check the box next to &quot;AR&quot; in the Tables list<br /> <br /> [[File:KSSupBak1.PNG|400px]]<br /> <br /> Now click the '+' next to AR. This will expand into a list of all the A/R tables, and all the A/R tables will be checked. It may take some time depending on how many tables are selected and how much data the tables contain. A status message just to the left of the 'Backup' button will let you know what is happening.
